After a long day of getting phone numbers and in contact with UVI and Nancy Foster crew members to coordinate an effort to get me back onto the ship, I made it back around 3:30 pm on Saturday. I had Steve, the dive operations manager at UVi take me out on a small boat to the Nancy Foster Ship. I was so thankful to be back, and I was just in time to start my shift, working from 4 pm until midnight! I learned a lot, particularly using Arc GIS Maps to make a map for the next days field sites. I am on the ship until Saturday and hope to update the blog on some of the things that are going on here!

Steve is a life saver. One of my favorite people at UVI. How did you board? They must have pulled up and attached to the Nancy. Did you guys take the ProKat?
ReplyDeleteYeah we pulled right up, threw the lines and tied off and then I hopped right onto the Nancy Foster! The crew helped grab my bags and I was back on the ship! YAY!
