The Cute, the Scary, and the Creepy!

It seems like everyday Tim and I come across a new insect or organism either in our house or near it. The scariest of all was the centipede that was found one morning in the kitchen! I don't think I will ever be able to get used to the fact that something that freaky looking is trying to get into our house!

We also have a terrible ant problem. One time we found an ant trail that went from the front room up the ceiling then across the room, under the door mat and into the dining room. They are the worst in the kitchen. If you drop the tiniest crumb and leave the room you will come back to at least over 50 ants having a field day!

Something I don't mind as much as some of the others are the little lizards that come in the house. I like them, but they always scare me because they surprise you when you least expect it! One of the first nights here we set up the air mattress and got ready for bed in the dark (no power yet in the house). I had a little lantern and on my way to get into bed a decent size lizard (about 5 inches long) was sitting on my pillow! And then Tim wonders why I feel like I am camping in our home every night!
